Services Beyond Weddings
Weddings are a big part of what we do, and MX Productions also provides DJ, emcee, and live sound services for conferences, corporate functions, fundraisers, school events, and private celebrations. Since 2015, we have worked throughout the region, including events at the Lake Placid Conference Center and the Olympic Arena.
Whatever the event, two things matter: people need to hear clearly, and the program needs to keep moving comfortably. We handle both.
Hosting the program
Master of Ceremonies
A good master of ceremonies keeps the program organized, makes the right announcements at the right time, and helps everything move naturally.
That means staying in touch with venue staff, catering, and presenters, adjusting when the schedule shifts, and confirming names and titles before anyone steps to the microphone. It also means knowing when to move things along and when a good moment deserves a little more time.
We provide emcee services for awards presentations, fundraising galas, corporate dinners, conference sessions, dedications, retirement functions, and community events. The tone is always matched to the occasion, so a fundraising gala sounds different from a corporate holiday party.

Live sound
Speech Reinforcement and Event Audio
Clear speech is one of the most important parts of event audio. A keynote speaker, panelist, or presenter should be easy to understand from anywhere in the room, without the audience straining to listen.
Max's degree in Audio Production and Engineering is especially useful in the kinds of spaces common throughout this region: gymnasiums, historic halls, tents, arenas, and outdoor sites that were never designed for amplified speech.

Events We Serve
Corporate and Conference Events
MX Productions provides audio and hosting for awards presentations, holiday functions, galas, product launches, and conference sessions. Lake Placid attracts substantial conference activity, and we have provided services at the Lake Placid Conference Center and the Olympic Arena.
Fundraisers and Community Events
Benefit dinners, auctions, festivals, and municipal occasions each need clear sound and a steady program. Auctions in particular require a master of ceremonies capable of maintaining attention and pace.
Milestone Celebrations
We provide music and hosting for significant birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, graduations, and family reunions, which are frequently held at private camps and lodges throughout the region.
School Dances and Formals
Proms, homecomings, and semi-formal events receive age-appropriate programming, edited recordings, and lighting. We have provided services at North Country Community College campuses in Ticonderoga, Saranac Lake, and Malone.
Holiday Functions
We provide entertainment for corporate and organizational holiday events. December dates are reserved early, so inquiries are advisable from September.
Private Events
Camp gatherings, lakeside functions, and private lodge events are welcome throughout the region.
Learn from an audio engineer
Private Audio Instruction
MX Productions also offers private instruction in audio and music production with Max, a graduate of the New England Institute of Art with a degree in Audio Production and Engineering.
Lessons can cover digital music production, audio recording, DJ technique, and sound or music editing. Sessions are built around what each student wants to learn, from first steps to more advanced skills.
Instruction is charged at 125 dollars per hour.
